NHA Awards

Marrionette Asiedu, TMCC Nursing Essay Contest Winner

Each year, the Nevada Hospital Association (NHA) recognizes healthcare professionals at our member facilities who have done exemplary work. The 2022 Nevada Hospital Association Recognition Awards were presented to the following healthcare heroes:

  • Teresa Bowen, Mesa View Regional Hospital, Commitment to Community Award for Trustee Excellence
  • Nan Healy, Incline Village Community Hospital, Making a Difference Award for Excellence in Volunteerism
  • Carol Rayfield, Desert View Hospital, Spotlight Award for Excellence in Hospital Leadership
  • Ben Rawcliffe, Southern Hills Hospital and Medical Center, Commitment to Service Award
  • Robbie Garrett, Carson Tahoe Health, Imagination Award

Also recognized at the ceremony were the Nursing Essay winners. This year, the Nevada Hospital Association celebrated the 22nd Annual Statewide Nursing Essay Contest. This year’s theme, Nursing: Embracing the Challenge, encompassed the unique contributions nurses make in caring for patients and their loved ones. While not all nurses work directly with patients, all nurses are serving in vitally essential roles as they ensure the health and well-being of others. Awards were presented in three categories and the winners included:

  • Heather Spaulding, University Medical Center of Southern Nevada, Professional Development Category
  • Marrionette Asiedu, Truckee Meadows Community College nursing student, Attraction Category
  • Natalie Matley-Keeney, Banner Churchill Community Hospital, Commitment/Retention Category
