Meet the NHA Team

Dr. Dawn Evans is a seasoned Patient Safety and Quality leader with fifteen years of experience and over three decades as a Registered Nurse. She serves as Workforce and Clinical Services Director at the Nevada Hospital Association. She holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of Phoenix, along with an MSN from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, an MBA in Healthcare Management from Western Governors University, and a BSN from Sonoma State University. She is a Certified Professional in Patient Safety (CPPS), Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ), and a TeamSTEPPS Master Trainer. Dr. Evans has led initiatives in safety culture, TeamSTEPPS implementation, and clinical quality improvement, and has presented nationally on patient safety topics including the National Quality Forum’s updated Serious Reportable Events list. An innovator in evidence-based care and a nurse educator, she is unapologetically passionate about advancing patient safety and shaping policy—driving toward a future where every patient receives safe, high-quality care.
